Although modelled by a doll, this Christening Robe and Bonnet is for a baby 9 - 12 months old. It comes complete with full length petticoat.
This dress is smocked under a yoke at the front only, although the design could include smocking at the back as well. It is suitable for making up in a variety of fabrics, with long or short sleeves and with or without a collar.	Jennifer
	Maria This version of the design was made up as a long party dress, but it can also be made up in a short day dress version in a variety of different fabrics. It is only the separate pinafore that is smocked and the pinafore can be supplied as a separate item to use with an existing dress (or I can create the whole ensemble).

		Reproduction Farmers Smock. This adult sized garment is an exhibition piece based on a front opening Farmers smock.
A customer of mine modelling the Traditional Round Neck Smock I made for him. I would like to thank him for both ordering this Reproduction Farmers Smock and for sending me the photos. This smock is made in Calico - a fabric that makes a good substitute for the home-spun Linen material most of the Historic Smocks were made from. Traditionally smocks were embroidered in self coloured threads and there were different styles depending on which area of the country they were made in, the wearer's trade and whether they were made for work or even to be married in!
